About the Author

Dr. Rev. John A. Mayer

Visionary, Global Strategist, Catalyst, Consultant, Thought Leader, Researcher, Missiologist, Professor, and Author


For over 35 years, he has worked globally with over 1,900 churches/ministries from 81 denominations conducting research, consulting, and strategy in the areas of church planting, movements, city reaching, diaspora peoples, and unreached people groups.  He has taken over 29,000 people on a Discover Your City Tour in different U.S. cities.  John is the creator of the “Circle of Significance” for world missions strategy.  He has also taught college and graduate courses for 24 years.  He is the author of the CityView Report book now in its 17th Edition and he has several other published papers and articles.  He holds four degrees.
